Stiolto Respimat Details (Brand and Generic)

Canadapharmacyonline.com offers the brand Stiolto Respimat by Boehringer Ingelheim in the United Kingdom (Spiolto Respimat), Turkey (Spiolto Respimat), and Canada (Inspiolto). The generic version is not available. Our customers may also purchase other asthma medications, such as Spiriva Respimat.

Dosage

Stiolto Respimat is available in 2.5 mcg/2.5 mcg/60 puffs strength; for more dosage information, please refer to Healthline.

Usage

Stiolto Respimat (Olodaterol/Tiotropium) is a new once-daily prescription maintenance treatment to control symptoms in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (source). Stiolto Respimat is a combination medication containing Tiotropium and Olodaterol. Tiotropium belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. Olodaterol belongs to the class of drugs known as long-acting inhaled beta-agonists (LABAs). Both drugs are also known as bronchodilators. Both medications work by relaxing muscles around the airways in your lungs to prevent symptoms such as wheezing, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Stiolto Respimat inhalation spray is not a rescue inhaler. If you experience sudden symptoms of COPD, use your rescue inhaler (such as Ventolin) as prescribed by your doctor.

It is crucial to take this medication exactly as your doctor prescribes and refer to the package insert. Please consult with your doctor for personalized advice.

Side Effects

Seek emergency medical care if you have any signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat. The most common side effects of Stiolto Respimat may include back pain, cough, and runny nose (source).

Stop using Stiolto and call your doctor immediately if you have any of the severe side effects such as:
• Chest pain;
• Fast or irregular heartbeats;
• Headache, tremor, nervousness;
• Increased blood pressure;
• Painful or difficult urination;
• Sudden shortness of breath;
• Symptoms of high blood sugar;
• Symptoms of low potassium level;
• Vision problems

The above information is a summary and may not contain all the side effects of this medication. Please visit MayoClinic for a complete list of side effects. Please note that individual reactions may vary, and not everyone will experience all the adverse reactions. If you still have questions about side effects, we suggest further conversations with your doctor.

You should not use Stiolto Respimat if you are allergic to olodaterol, tiotropium, ipratropium, or have other allergies (source).
