Alesse Information

Alesse Details (Brand and Generic)

Canada Pharmacy Online offers the brand Alesse and other birth control pills at reasonable prices. We currently have the brand Alesse from Canada manufactured by Pfizer and from India also called Loette manufactured by Wyeth. The generic Ethinyl Estradiol/Levonorgestrel comes from Canada (Alysena by Apotex), New Zealand (Microgynon 20 by Bayer), and from India (Divacon) by a different manufacturer.

Dosage

Alesse and generic Ethinyl Estradiol/Levonorgestrel is available as a three month supply of 21 day and 28 day tablets.

Usage

Alesse (Ethinyl Estradiol and Levonorgestrel) is combination prescription contraception to prevent pregnancy. Birth control pills may also make your periods regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts and it also treats your acne. Alesse contains progestin and estrogen. This medication works by preventing the release of an egg during your menstrual cycle. It causes changes in the mucus of the cervix, which makes it difficult for sperm to penetrate and for an egg to implant.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects may include bloating, breast tenderness, changes in weight or menstrual periods, decreased sex drive, freckles or darkening of facial skin, headache, loss of scalp hair, nausea, vaginal itching or discharge, and vomiting.

Stop using Alesse and call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• A breast lump;
• A change in the pattern or severity of migraine headaches;
• Chest pain or heavy feeling;
• Nausea or upper stomach pain;
• Sudden cough, wheezing, coughing up blood;
