Usage

CortiVera (Hydrocortisone with Aloe Vera) is an over-the-counter medication used to treat several skin conditions such as insect bites, dermatitis, rash, allergies, and itching. Skin irritation and rashes can occur when the skin is exposed to several things, such as wool, chemicals, soaps, cosmetics, or poison ivy. The active ingredient in CortiVera is Hydrocortisone with Aloe Vera. Hydrocortisone with Aloe Vera belongs to the class of medication called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation that occurs with skin irritation.

The common side effects of CortiVera are dryness, irritation, stinging at the application site, acne, skin discoloration, and stretch marks.

Stop using CortiVera and contact your doctor immediately if you have any of the following serious side effects such as:
• Bleeding in the treated area;
• Changes in vision;
• Severe headache;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, itching, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing;

Before using Hydrocortisone with Aloe Vera, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to other corticosteroids or have any other allergies. CortiVera is a cream, and it should be applied topically (to the skin). Please do not take it by mouth. Wash your hands before using the medication. Clean the affected area and apply a small quantity of CortiVera twice a day or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated area unless your doctor tells you to. Wash your hands after applying the drug unless you are treating your hands. Do not let CortiVera come in contact with your eyes. If this happens, wash the area with plenty of water. Contact your doctor if irritation occurs. Inform your doctor if the condition persists for more than 7 days. Do not use Hydrocortisone with Aloe Vera if there is an infection or sore in the area that needs to be treated. Do not apply the cream on cuts, scrapes, or damaged skin.

Before you start using CortiVera, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Become pregnant or nursing a child;
