Usage

Derma Smoothe FS (Fluocinolone acetonide) is a prescription medication used to treat atopic dermatitis (a form of eczema) in adults and children at least 3 months old. Atopic dermatitis is an itchy inflammation of the skin. The condition usually develops in early childhood and is more common in people with a family history of the condition. The treatment depends on the severity of the condition. Derma Smoothe FS is also used to treat scalp psoriasis in adults. Scalp psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that causes thick patches of skin to develop on the scalp or the skin around the scalp. These patches may be raised, discolored, itchy, and irritating. The active ingredient in Derma Smoothe FS is Fluocinolone acetonide. Fluocinolone acetonide belongs to a class of drugs called topical corticosteroids. Please do not use it for children. Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly before applying the drug. Apply a thin film of the oil to your scalp. Massage it well. Cover your scalp with the provided shower cap for at least 4 hours or overnight. Wash off the medication with regular shampoo and rinse well. Wash your hands after applying the medication. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. If the medication gets into these areas, rinse with plenty of water. Use Derma Smoothe FS only for the condition it was prescribed. Do not use this medication or other corticosteroids for longer than prescribed. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it.
