Emflex (Acemetacin) is a prescription medication used to relieve pain, stiffness, and inflammation of painful conditions affecting the muscles, bones, and joints. The drug may be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, and post-surgical pain. The active ingredient in Emflex is Acemetacin. Acemetacin belongs to the class of medication called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of chemicals called prostaglandins, which are released at injury sites to reduce pain and inflammation.
