Usage

Evalon (Estriol) is a prescription medication that is used to treat vaginal problems (itching, dryness and irritation) caused due to lack of estrogen. It may also be used as a hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women in treating hot flushes (red and warm face), and vaginal dryness. The active ingredient in the Evalon Tablet is Estriol. Estriol belongs to the class of medicine called Hormone replacement therapy (estrogen). It works by replacing the oestrogen which is normally produced by the ovaries, thereby helps provide relief from discomfort in the vagina and vaginal infections. It also helps normalize vaginal epithelium, thereby makes sexual intercourse less painful and prevents vaginal infections.

The common side effects of Evalon are application site irritation or itching, breast tenderness, breast enlargement and breast pain.

Stop using Evalon and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
