Evra Patch Information

Drug name: Ortho Evra
Generic name: Estrogen/Progestin
Use: Birth control.

Ortho Evra skin patches are a form of birth control that you only have to use once a week, and they offer a great alternative to daily birth control pills. It contains two female hormones called Estrogen and Progestin. The two hormones work together to prevent pregnancy. It works by stopping an egg from attaching to the uterus, thickening the mucus in the cervix to stop sperm from entering and also helps to prevent ovulation. The skin patch is a safe alternative to birth control pills as it prevents the drug from passing through your liver. We currently have brand Janssen-Ortho Ortho Evra patches (21 day/150 mcg/20 mcg) in stock.
