Usage

Lotensin HCT (Benazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide) is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where the pressure in your blood vessels is too high and can lead to complications like stroke, heart attacks, and kidney problems. The active ingredient in Lotensin HCT is Benazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide. Benazepril belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels, causing them to widen and allow easy blood circulation. Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to the class of medication called diuretics. It works by increasing the amount of urine the body makes to decrease excess water and salt.

The common side effects of Lotensin HCT are dizziness, headache, blurred vision, tiredness, and drowsiness.

Stop using Lotensin HCT and contact your doctor immediately if you have any of the following serious side effects such as:
• Decreased sexual ability;
• Fainting;
• Signs of dehydration, such as unusual thirst, muscle weakness, or confusion;
