Usage

Lotensin HCT (Benazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide) is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where the pressure in your blood vessels is too high and can lead to complications like stroke, heart attacks, and kidney problems. The active ingredient in Lotensin HCT is Benazepril and Hydrochlorothiazide. Benazepril belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely. Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position to reduce your risk of dizziness. Avoid alcohol. It may increase the side effects of the drug.

Before you start using Lotensin HCT, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:

• Are unable to urinate;
• Become pregnant or nursing a child;

• Have asthma;
