• Darkening of the skin; allergic skin reactions; dermatitis (skin inflammation) around the mouth;

Warnings and Interactions

Also, tell your health care professional if you have many different types of allergies, such as foods, dyes, preservatives, or animals. If you have psoriasis, your doctor may want to review your treatment regularly. Contact your doctor if your psoriasis gets worse or you get raised bumps filled with pus under your skin. If you use more than the prescribed amount of cream or use it for longer than is recommended, it can affect the levels of certain hormones in the body, particularly in infants and children.

You should not use Lotriderm Cream if you have or ever had:
• Acne outbreaks with skin redness;
• An allergic reaction to betamethasone dipropionate, clotrimazole, any other similar medicines or to any of the other ingredients in the cream;
• Any other skin infections, it could make worse, especially rosacea, dermatitis (skin inflammation) around the mouth, nappy rash or other skin infections;
• Tingling or pins and needles sensation on the skin;
• Your skin becomes irritated, or you develop an allergic reaction

Before you start using Lotriderm, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have:
• Bacterial infections of the skin;
Cushing's syndrome (adrenal gland disorder);
• Diabetes mellitus;
• Diaper dermatitis (diaper rash)— Use is not recommended in patients with this condition;
• Eye problems such as Cataract or glaucoma;
• Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar);
• Intracranial hypertension (increased pressure in the head)—Use with caution;
• Large sores, broken skin, or severe skin injury at the place of application;
• Liver failure-the chance of side effects may be increased;
• Other virus infections of the skin—Betamethasone may speed up the spread of virus infections;
• Skin diseases causing impaired circulation (e.g., stasis dermatitis);
• Tuberculosis (TB) of the skin—Betamethasone may make these conditions worse;
• Viral infections such as Herpes, Vaccinia (cowpox), Varicella (chickenpox)

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements. There may be a drug interaction between Lotriderm and other drugs such as aldesleukin, sirolimus, tacrolimus, other topical medications containing corticosteroids, and topical medications with irritating effects.
