Product Details
Tridesilon (Desonide) is used to treat skin rashes and skin irritation, including eczema and psoriasis. Tridesilon is a corticosteroid cream that works by absorbing through the skin and increasing the production of inhibitory proteins called lipocortins. Lipocortins are effective through the blocking of inflammatory mediators, including prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and histamines. By blocking the inflammatory chemicals in the body, symptoms of skin rashes and irritation such as itching, pain, and swelling will be reduced.
Common side effects of Tridesilon may include stinging or burning of treated skin, skin irritation, redness, itching, or hardening, dry, scaly, or oily skin, swelling in your hands or feet, acne or stretch marks, or redness or crusting around your hair follicles. Call you doctor at once if you experience worsening of your skin condition, redness, warmth, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation of any treated skin, changes in vision, signs of high blood sugar, or signs of absorbing the medication through your skin.
