Vaseretic Information
Enalapril maleate/hydrochlorothiazide combines an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE inhibitor), enalapril maleate, and the water pill (diuretic) called hydrochlorothiazide. Enalapril maleate/hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Enalapril maleate/hydrochlorothiazide is available in two tablet combinations of enalapril maleate with hydrochlorothiazide.
Vaseretic Side Effects
Enalapril/HCTZ side effects, that may go away during treatment, include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dry cough, rash, dizziness or lightheadedness when sitting or standing, or fatigue. If Enalapril/HCTZ side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Enalapril/HCTZ side effects like shortness of breath, muscle weakness, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, or chest pain. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience Enalapril/HCTZ side effects like: swelling of face, lips, eyes, or tongue; or difficulty swallowing or breathing. If you notice other Enalapril/HCTZ side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
