Usage

Vitalux (Multivitamin) is an over-the-counter medication used to delay the progression of AMD and maintain healthy vision. Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is an eye disease that can blur central vision. This disease occurs when aging causes damage to the macula – the part of the eye that controls sharp, straight-ahead vision. The active ingredient in Vitalux is Multivitamin. Multivitamin belongs to a class of drugs called vitamin supplements. It works by slowing the progression of macular degeneration.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Vitalux are stomach irritation and constipation.

Stop using Vitalux and contact your doctor immediately if you have any of the following serious side effects such as:
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as wheezing, hives, itching, breathing difficulties, swelling of the face, lips, or throat;

Warnings and Interactions

Before using Multivitamin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any ingredient in the drug or have any other allergies. Vitalux comes as a tablet and should be taken orally (by mouth) as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush the drug. • Become pregnant or nursing a child;
• Have food allergies;
• Have kidney disease;
• Have liver disease;
• Use tobacco, cannabis, or recreational drugs

Inform your doctor about all your medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is unknown if Vitalux will harm your unborn baby. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this drug in pregnancy with your doctor. Do not breastfeed when using Multivitamin. It is unknown if this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. There may be a drug interaction between Vitalux and other drugs.
