Tech-World, a computer software company located somewhere in the outskirts of Minneapolis, was having a difficult winter. It seemed due to the heavy snow and brutal cold weather many of the employees were coming down with the flu. Many workers had to call in sick. As a result, production dropped, making management worry.
They needed a fast idea to keep their workers healthy, so they did not have to miss work. After countless research, Alan one of the office managers found a great way to overcome this. He came across an article where companies were using Vitamin IV. The article explained how liquid vitamins, minerals and amino acids delivered straight to the bloodstream protect users from getting a cold. So without hesitation, Alan ordered Vitamin IV to be placed at each worker’s office space.
The following Monday when the employees arrived at work, there was a bottle of Vitamin IV placed at each of the worker’s desk. Alan, the manager, was greeting everyone as they arrived. George, one of the workers, was greeted by Alan. He said to him, “Have a seat George. We are now giving all employees Vitamin IV as free benefits. You will no longer have excuses to call in for a sick day”. As George sat at his cubicle he turned to his colleague Burt and said “I feel like we are no longer in an office space rather a hospital ward, filled with sick people”.
