Product Details

Anaprox (Naproxen) is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of pain, swelling, and inflammation from conditions such as headaches, muscle aches, dental pain, tendonitis and menstrual cramps. This medication also reduces pain, swelling and join stiffness caused by arthritis, bursitis and gout attacks. Naproxen works by blocking the body’s production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. Naproxen does not treat the disease that causes the symptoms; it treats the symptoms of pain and inflammation.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Anaprox may include dizziness, drowsiness, headache, heartburn, nausea, upset stomach. The serious side effects may include:
• Change in the amount of urine;
• Changing in hearing;
• Difficult/painful swallowing;
• Easy bruising/bleeding;
• Mental/mood changes;
• Swelling of the ankles/feet/hands;
• Sudden weight gain;
• Unexplained stiff neck;
• Unusual tiredness;
• Vision changes

You should not take Anaprox if you are allergic to Naproxen or any of the ingredients in this medication. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications they are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. This medication can make you more sensitive to the sun. Anaprox should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. Naproxen passes into breast milk and may affect the nursing baby. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding a baby. This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive or do any activity that requires you to be alert. Limit alcohol and stop smoking. There are other medications that may interact with Anaprox such as Aliskiren, Captopril, Lisinopril, Losartan, Valsartan, Cidofovir, Prednisone, and Furosemide.
