Usage

Canesten Cream 1% (Clotrimazole) is a prescription medication used to treat several fungal or yeast infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch and various yeast infections. Fungal infections are caused by fungi, affecting the skin, hair, nails, lungs, and other body parts. Canesten cream is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush. The active ingredient in Canesten Cream 1% is Clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to the class of medication called imidazole antifungals. It works by killing the fungus or yeast by interfering with their cell membranes, and this stops them from reproducing so the infection cannot spread and will clear up.
