It is an injection, and it should be injected into the vein. The infusion should be administered and supervised by a doctor in a hospital facility. It would be best if you took Cerubidine precisely the way your doctor prescribed it. Inform your doctor if you feel any burning, pain, or swelling around the IV needle when daunorubicin is injected. Do not miss your clinic appointment and tell your doctor if there is no improvement in your condition.

Before you start using Cerubidine, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have:
• A weak immune system (caused by disease or by using certain medicines);

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It would be best to be on contraceptives to prevent you from getting pregnant when using Cerubidine injection. Daunorubicin may harm an unborn baby. Men and women using this medication should ask about reliable forms of birth control during treatment. If you or your partner becomes pregnant, talk to your doctor right away about the risks and benefits of this medication. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Because of the possible risk to the infant, breastfeeding while using this drug is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
