Danocrine Information

Danocrine Details (Brand and Generic)

Usage

Danocrine (Danazol) is a prescription medication used in women to treat pelvic pain and infertility due to a particular uterus disorder (endometriosis). The active ingredient in Danocrine is Danazol. Danazol belongs to the class of drugs called androgenic hormones. It works by suppressing the pituitary-ovarian axis by inhibiting pituitary gonadotropin output. It is an androgen similar to testosterone that treats endometriosis by reducing the number of hormones made by the ovaries, thereby shrinking the uterus's displaced tissue.
